Welcome to NOVA’s Campus Advocacy Training (NCAT) 2025! NCAT is a seven-week live training program designed for campus advocates and community-based advocates serving college populations, offering a unique opportunity for professional growth. Facilitated by national campus experts, the training covers a wide range of topics such as ethics and boundaries, confidentiality, privacy and privilege, language justice, federal laws, restorative justice, forensic exams, and more. NCAT will be offered from January 15 through February 26, 2025 (Wednesdays only) from 11:00 AM to 4:00 PM (EST). This training is virtual only, with occasional pre-work and homework materials. Participants of this unique academy may be eligible to apply for the National Advocate Credentialing Program (NACP) Campus Advocacy Specialist Credential.   Applicant Commitment: Participants acknowledge the following: I am required to attend four (4) hours of NCAT training each Wednesday from January 15—February 26, 2025 from 11:00 AM – 4:00 PM (EST). I can miss two (2) classes but must contact ncat@trynova.org to receive a make-up assignment and complete it by March 7, 2025. I understand that I must adhere to this attendance policy to receive a certificate of completion.  I understand that NCAT is a training designed for campus advocates or community-based advocates serving student-survivors at colleges and universities.  I must have access to the Zoom platform and microphone (cameras are encouraged but not required) in order to participate in the training. Dial-in only access will not be permitted.  I understand NCAT will cover difficult topics of abuse and crime. I am aware these classes could potentially elicit a powerful emotional response. Resources to promote self-care will be provided in the LMS platform and integrated throughout the training.   Registration Rates: NOVA Member Rate: $375 a person  Non-Member: $425 a person **Use code NCATEarlyBird for an early bird discount of 10% off through November 25th. ***A group rate of $300 per registrant is available for groups of five (5) or more. Refund Policy: A full refund, less $75 processing fee prior to 12/19/24; On and after 12/20/24, there will be NO refunds unless training has been canceled by NOVA. Welcome to NOVA’s Human Trafficking Response Academy (HTRA) 2025! NOVA’s Human Trafficking Response Academy is an introductory to intermediate level training course designed for victim advocates and allied professionals working with survivors of human trafficking. This training academy includes topics pertaining to both forms of human trafficking: sex trafficking and labor trafficking (forced labor). Through engaging online training and access to dynamic, experienced instructors, those who complete this course will feel better equipped to respond and support trafficking survivors. While there is no prerequisite for this course, those enrolling should already have reasonable foundational knowledge in victim services. HTRA is four (4) full days of live training facilitated by subject matter experts, and will be offered Monday, February 10th-Thursday, February 13th, 2025 between the hours of 10:00am - 5:30pm Eastern Time. This is a fully virtual training. Participants of this academy may use the completed hours towards the National Advocate Credentialing Program (NACP) Human Trafficking Specialty.   Schedule: Monday, February 10th: 10:00am - 5:00pm Eastern Time Tuesday, February 11th: 10:00am - 5:30pm Eastern Time Wednesday, February 12th: 10:00am - 5:30pm Eastern Time Thursday, February 13th: 10:00am - 4:45pm Eastern Time Multiple breaks are included each day   Registration Rates: NOVA Member Rate: $350 a person  Non-Member: $400 a person **Use code HTRAEarlyBird for an early bird discount of 10% off through November 25th. ***A group rate of $300 per registrant is available for groups of five (5) or more.
